Ruth Binney (née Chanter) has been studying the world around her since childhood, which she spent in Tiverton, Devon. Since graduating in Natural Sciences from Girton College, Cambridge, she has enjoyed a highly successful career in publishing, as an editor of illustrated non-fiction and an author. Ruth is now happily settled in Yeovil, Somerset and working on a variety of projects with Rydon Publishing.

Nicholas Utechin is an Honorary member of The Sherlock Holmes Society of London and edited its journal from 1976-2006.
Nick is a freelance journalist and broadcaster and was a senior producer on BBC Radio 4, working on such programmes as Today, Any Questions?, Call Nick Ross, All In The Mind and Feedback.
He lives in Oxford.

Stephen Halliday is a historian specialising in British history and in particularly is an authority on the history of London.
He is the author of both "Amazing & Extraordinary Facts: London" and "Amazing & Extraordinary Facts: London Underground.
He contributes articles and reviews to magazines such as Literary Review, Times Higher Education, BBC History and History Today.
Stephen lives in Cambridge.
